Dak Prescott announces the birth of his daughter, 'baby MJ'
Dak Prescott is officially a girl dad. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback and girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos welcomed their first child into the world on Thursday, a daughter nicknamed “baby MJ.”
Prescott announced the exciting news in front of media on Monday, speaking on the feeling he has now that he is a father. Both the baby and Ramos are home and healthy, giving them time to settle in as a family.
“Yeah, I feel different,” he said. “Especially when you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand those possibilities. Everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but to want that for somebody else even more. It’s special. Baby’s doing great, momma’s doing great. Everybody’s healthy and at home. We’re blessed.”
Of course, it’s not all fun and games being a parent, which requires a lot of new responsibilities. Prescott found that out quickly as he’s already had to change a few diapers, joking that he’s looking for ways to avoid that chore in the future.
“Changed the first one and then about two or three after that,” he said. “Then I try to pass that job off.”
Prescott and Ramos originally announced that they were expecting back in November. He expressed excitement for this new chapter in his life at that time while also acknowledging the challenges it will bring.

“Being able to raise a little girl, I’m excited for the challenges,” Prescott said in November. “Blessed, super blessed to have that responsibility, but at the same time to have the opportunity to start a family and bring a child into this world.”
Dak Prescott unveils new look, fuels countless reactions
Becoming a father wasn’t the only new thing to happen to Prescott this week.
He also unveiled a brand new look following a trip to his barber and it has yielded some hilarious reactions on social media. The 30-year-old QB has a practically fully shaved head so there’s little tweaking to do up top but he did make a big change to his facial hair.
After rocking a full, short beard for most of his NFL career, Prescott is throwing it back to his days at Mississippi State with a goatee.
Prescott was an MVP candidate this past season, throwing for 4,516 yards and 36 touchdowns, with only nine interceptions. He also rushed for 242 yards and two scores. He finished second in the voting for MVP behind winner Lamar Jackson.
