Dak Prescott provides NSFW reaction to signing Packers hat
When you think of the Dallas Cowboys, you think of quarterback Dak Prescott. In simplest terms, he is the face of the franchise.
Being exactly that for “America’s Team” means there’s always cameras in your face, and many things to sign for fans around the country. Sometimes, it can be a bit overwhelming and some things — a Green Bay Packers hat in this case — can slip through the cracks.
During a recent autograph session, Prescott quickly made his way through penning his name on various pieces of merchandise for fans, but accidentally signed a Packers hat for one fan. Prescott didn’t appear to notice until just after, and had a profane reaction to it.
“No way, did I just sign a Packers hat?” Prescott asked. “What the f–k?”
As you can tell, there’s certainly no love lost between the Cowboys and Packers, two of the most storied franchises in NFL history. Both franchises have combined to win nine Super Bowls and have shared in many epic postseason battles. Prescott’s Cowboys notably came out on the losing side of their meeting in the 2016 Divisional Round. So you can imagine Prescott’s disdain for seeing a Packers hat with his signature on it.
To his credit, Prescott apologized for the profanity before moving on along the line.
“Excuse my language,” Prescott said.
Prescott, 30, is entering his eighth season in the NFL — all with the Cowboys. He is coming off a season in which he paced the league with 15 interceptions in 12 games. Prescott threw for 2,860 yards and 23 touchdowns. Prescott added 182 yards and a score on the ground. Dallas went 8-4 in his starts and clinched a playoff berth.

The Cowboys’ postseason run came to an end in the NFC Divisional Round with a 19-12 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers. Prescott completed 23-of-37 passes for 206 yards with one touchdowns and two interceptions.
Can Cowboys snap Super Bowl drought with Dak Prescott as QB?
Ahead of the start of the 2023 season, Prescott talked about what it will take for the Cowboys to snap their Super Bowl drought, which dates back to 1996.
“At the end of the day, the pressure is what you put on yourself,” Prescott said last month. “I think at the end of the day we gotta understand that our standard is win. It’s simple as that. We hold ourselves to a high standard and high expectations.
“Nobody wants to end this drought more than the guys in this locker room, I can promise you that. For us, it’s about making sure that we know our identity,, we believe in our identity as a team, we go out there and play complementary football at all three levels. I think if we do that, from what we’ve built on in the offseason to training camp to now, it’s promising.”
