Dak Prescott speaks out after fiancée has nearly $40K worth of property stolen after Christmas
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has spoken out after his fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos was a victim of theft the day after Christmas.
Ramos had thousands of dollars of items stolen from her vehicle the day after Christmas, according to The Dallas Morning News. The television station WFAA reported “several pieces of property” worth nearly $40,000 were stolen, including wallets, designer handbags, computer software and cash. According to the Dallas Police Department, Ramos “forgot to lock her [vehicle] door.” Prescott said the burglary occurred while Ramos was at Pilates in Dallas.
“I don’t want anyone to tie that in with other things that have been happening, her car got broken into at Pilates in Dallas. Who knows how many times that happens a day,” Prescott said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.
FBI issues stern warning to pro athletes after recent string home burglaries, Dak Prescott taking steps of prevention
The FBI previously issued a warning to professional athletes following a string of organized burglaries that targeted professionals. The homes of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce were broken into within days of each other in October.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had his home broken into last month while he was in Arlington for Monday Night Football against the Cowboys. Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis Jr. and Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin have all also seen their homes ransacked.
“These homes are targeted for burglary due to the perception they may have high-end goods like designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash,” FBI officials said. “While many burglaries occur while homes are unoccupied, some burglaries occur while residents are home. In these instances, individuals are encouraged to seek law enforcement help and avoid engaging with criminals, as they may be armed or use violence if confronted.”
Prescott is taking the necessary steps to make sure he’s not next.
“As far as the other [burglaries], I’m gonna take every step necessary I can to ensure safety,” Prescott said, “and that that doesn’t happen to me.”
