Dale Earnhardt Jr. is doing something special for his return to the Budweiser No. 8 car this weekend. The NASCAR legend announced that he’s auctioning off signed items through the Dale Jr. Foundation.

“These items come out of my personal storage,” Earnhardt said in a video posted to X. “People bring me old Bud stuff all the time and want to get it to me, items they collected over the years, 20-25 years ago. I have to tell them every time, I’m like, ‘Man we have everything. We kept everything. If they made it, we’ve got some prototypes and some samples of anything and everything they made. Snowboards, skateboards obviously tin signs and shirts, diecast and everything. If it got made, we got it.

“I have it in storage in a bunch of bins and decided to go looking through those. My sister Kelly and a few other girls from the foundation went to work and picked out some items that they thought you might like. I have autographed those and you can bid on them.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. says driving the Budweiser No. 8 is an ‘incredible opportunity’

Dale Earnhardt Jr. went on to say that the money raised from the items will go towards the Dale Jr. Foundation which focuses on “giving underprivileged individuals with a focus on youth, the resources to improve their confidence and education and the opportunity to achieve extraordinary goals.” Some of the items available are scale cars, shirts, hats, clocks, a snowboard, a lunch box and cooler, a puzzle set and a skateboard, among others.

Earnhardt will drive the Budweiser No. 8 car in the South Carolina 250 at Florence Motor Speedway this weekend. Earnhardt made the car famous while competing in the NASCAR Cup Series from 1999 to 2007.

“It is an incredible opportunity for me to be able to reunite with Budweiser, and the No. 8,” Earnhardt said via his team’s release. “Budweiser and I had some great memories with that iconic scheme and number. We’ve always supported each other over the years. It’s going to be really special for me to be able to represent that brand on the race track again.”
