Watching along with all of the NASCAR fans at home, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was just as impressed with Kyle Busch and his win. For the 67th time in his career, Busch found a way to win in the NASCAR Truck Series. It is his eighth series win at Atlanta.

I am convinced that Kyle Busch has the most fun in the Truck Series. His passion for it, the trucks themselves, and the importance of the Truck Series as a development series for NASCAR power that. It also helps to win a bunch of races.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was watching that Truck Series race at Atlanta. He was very impressed by Busch and agreed with the postrace diagnosis of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano.

“Man, I agree with Brad K and Joey… mid turn 3/4 the 52 truck had his truck in position to side draft himself into the lead just as he crossed the line,” Earnhardt posted on X/Twitter. “But he chose to do that quite a bit too early and allow [Kyle Busch] the opportunity to do the same. Made it easy for the veteran to claim the win. Great race. Great moves/skill on display.”

This was another example of Atlanta delivering in this new configuration. And how about the Truck Series putting on another great race? This is the 16th race in a row to end without an overtime restart. That is nice to see in any series.

Kyle Busch impresses Dale Earnhardt Jr. with win at Atlanta

Today was all about Kyle Busch in the NASCAR Truck Series race at Atlanta. After that performance, the Cup Series is on notice. For the second straight year, Busch gets the job done in the truck at Atlanta and he has his eyes on a Sunday win, too.

Kyle Busch has not had a Cup Series win in a long time. It can’t hurt to pick up a fantastic win on Saturday. On the other hand, heartbreak for Stewart Friesen. Both the 7 and 52 trucks got away from the pushers behind them and it came down to the side draft.

While there were times Busch controlled this race, it wasn’t an easy win in the end. Friesen really about had it. But at the line, Busch had him by a nose. Fantastic finish once again at the new Atlanta. This is why Dale Earnhardt Jr. was impressed.

While Busch is a Cup Series driver, he can have a little fun. And we should applaud him when he makes these great moves. There is real talent in every series of NASCAR, but today, an old veteran (and future Hall of Famer) came out on top.
