In a week, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is going to go racing at Bristol Motor Speedway once again and he has revealed part of his preparation. Earnhardt almost won the NASCAR Xfinity Series race last season at Bristol before a fire at his feet ended his night.

If you liked what you saw last year at the Last Great Colosseum, then you are going to love this news. Last year, Dale Jr. had such a great car and it was one mechanical fire that ruined what could have been a historic victory.

However, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his JR Motorsports team are bringing that same car back. It has been stripped, rebuilt, and hopefully, remains fire-free. Is it possible to see Junebug make a run for the checkered flag again?

“We are bringing back the same car as last year. Totally stripped and rebuilt,” Dale Jr. posted on social media. “Hope it handles as well. See ya in a week.”

It really looked like Earnhardt was going to go to Victory Lane last season. Well, he did. But it was riding alongside Justin Allgaier, his JR Motorsports driver, as an owner and not as a driver himself.

This season, that could be reversed. To see Dale Earnhardt Jr. win a race in the year 2024 would be more than sensational. It would be unbelievable. History says he will at least be in the mix.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. lands superstar for 2025

Via Trackhouse Racing, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has landed a superstar for JR Motorsports in 2025. Connor Zilisch has exploded onto the NASCAR scene and he is making his Xfinity Series debut at Watkins Glen this afternoon.

Zilisch opened the weekend with the pole and win in the ARCA race. He led every single lap and at one point had a 15-second gap on second place. Well, he followed that up with a pole award over Cup Series talents Ty Gibbs and William Byron.

When people talk about generational talent and this and that – they often abuse the term. With Zilisch, you cannot say enough about him. At 18 years old, and barely at that, he is the future of NASCAR. Plain and simple.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a superstar for 2025, and that is likely the only season he will get out of him. Zilisch is on the fast track to the Cup Series, hoping to become the youngest Cup champion in history. Right now, it looks like he is well on his way.
