Dale Earnhardt Jr. had one issue with what Kyle Busch said about the composite bodies in NASCAR. On Dale Jr. Download, Earnhardt explained why he didn’t like Kyle Busch, saying that composite bodies are “ruining the art of racing.”

“I like that they race like assholes,” Earnhardt said. “I know that we give Carson Hocevar a lot of s**t, and at times, we gave [Ross] Chastain some s**t and some other guys. But I want more of those guys in the field.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. also said, “I like the composite bodies because the drivers have been able to get more aggressive with them, in some cases, too aggressive. Particularly in the Xfinity Series, we destroy cars for no reason because they look at the bodies and stuff like just throwaways. They’re not really, they’re kind of expensive. I do miss being able to look at a car and see the damage.”

Kyle Busch speaks out on rant at Kansas

Kyle Busch spoke to Denny Hamlin on the Actions Detrimental podcast this week and expressed his frustrations about the composite bodies. “We’re all clowns,” Busch said, per Matt Weaver of Sportsnaut. “We all don’t know how to freaking drive. It’s the composite bodies, that’s what it is. Everybody just runs into everybody and runs over everybody and hits everybody, hits the wall because we all just bank on the fact that the body’s just gonna pop back out and we’re going to be fine. These clowns would not have any idea how to drive a steel body car. You touch the wall, and it plows. Put ’em back in the Gen 4 cars.”

Busch’s comments came after having an expletive-filled rant during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas on Sunday. The rant came when he was involved in a wreck that kept him out of contention for at least the top 10.

“What the hell were they doing?” Busch said on the podcast. “I mean, the 1 [Chastain] was running the top, but he was like four feet off the wall. Then the 21 [Josh Berry] is all squiggly wiggly and hits the 4 [Noah Gragson] and then the 4 bounces into me and spins me out. … I had PTSD of the Daytona crash. I was headed into the inside wall and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, this again? Like, please rudder.’ So, I downshifted into second gear and the car’s going so slow, it’s just putzing along and then it ramps over the grass because I was trying to get the motor to turn back over by itself and it just stalled on the grass.”
