Dallas Cowboys add receiver CeeDee Lamb, two others to COVID list
The Dallas Cowboys have added three players, including former Oklahoma receiver CeeDee Lamb, to their COVID-19 reserves list, according to NBC Sports. Safeties Malik Hooker and Israel Mukuamu were the other two players added to the list.
This comes after defensive lineman Carlos Watkins and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn were both sent home 90 minutes prior to kickoff of the Cowboys preseason game against Houston on Saturday.
It was not made known whether Lamb, Hooker and Mukuamu actually tested positive or were simply within close proximity to someone who did. The Cowboys announced recently that 93% of their players are vaccinated, while all members of their coaching staff are.
High-risk close contacts must isolate five days if unvaccinated. Fully vaccinated players and coaches do not need to isolate after exposure.
Vaccinated individuals who test positive can return once they have two consecutive negative tests 24 hours apart. Unvaccinated players who test positive for COVID-19 must isolate for at least 10 days.

Dallas has been holding virtual meetings in attempt to limit the spread within the team.
“I think just like most things we do, we’re just being cautious and want to make sure we contain this outbreak and just be smart with that,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Monday. “We have enough experience with the virtual format.
“We all have clear understanding of what the state is of what we’re in. We’re by no means clear of what went on last year. We’re taking the same approach.”
There is at least one silver lining in this. With four players on its COVID list, the Dallas Cowboys must cut only one player to get to 80 by the NFL’s deadline of Tuesday.
The Cowboys play their final preseason game on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They open the regular season on Sept. 9 against Tampa Bay.
