One of the top priorities for the Dallas Cowboys right now is signing receiver CeeDee Lamb to a new deal.

Details are starting to emerge on just how much money Lamb could make on his new contract.

According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Lamb is likely to receive $25-30 million per year on his next deal. Machota cited the fact that the top-five highest-paid receivers in the NFL average at least $24 million per year.

Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill is the highest-paid receiver in the league, averaging $30 million per year over four years.

CeeDee Lamb had the best year of his career last season, catching 107 passes for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns. The 24-year-old ranked fourth in the NFL in receptions among receivers and sixth in the league in receiving yards.

Lamb is entering his fourth season in the NFL after being drafted by the Cowboys with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

Prior to entering the NFL, Lamb was an All-American in 2019 at Oklahoma, finishing with more than 1,300 receiving yards that year while averaging 21.4 yards per catch.

Lamb topped the 1,000-yard mark each of his past two seasons in the NFL and was named second-team All-Pro for his performance last season. Lamb is also a two-time Pro Bowl selection.

CeeDee Lamb ‘not distracted’ by contract extension talks with Cowboys

While signing a new contract is a priority for CeeDee Lamb and the Cowboys, he isn’t letting extension talks distract him.

Lamb has two years left on his deal as the former first round pick out of Oklahoma goes into Year 4 with Dallas. But despite any discussion about Lamb on the cusp of a big deal, on par with other top wide receivers, he didn’t sweat it all.

In fact, Lamb was focused squarely on football.

“Quite honestly, I’ll be 100-percent honest, I’m not even distracted,” Lamb said, via the team’s website. “The money, definitely worried about it, but it’s not something that’s on my mind everyday or when I come to the building. I’m not thinking about how much money I’m gonna make if I do this. It’s really all about coming in, showing my worth and letting everything else handle itself.”

Money is one thing, and Lamb is concerned with that, as any professional athlete would be. But it’s out of his hands and he’ll leave it to his agent.

Lamb had a career year in 2022 with Dallas. He finished with 107 catches, 1,359 yards, nine touchdowns and 12.7 yards per catch.

He’s evolved in more ways than one.

“Being a better leader, whether that’s for my position group or for my team,” Lamb said about his focus. “Obviously being the one that can be counted on when the game is on the line. I’ve always had help, but it’s instilled now. Then at the point of attack, we’re gonna come at you, we’re gonna be aggressive. We’ll do the best versus the best and let the best man win.”
