Dallas Cowboys coaching search: Dan Graziano labels Deion Sanders as 'not the likely outcome'
ESPN’s Dan Graziano doesn’t think Deion Sanders is the most likely name to be Dallas’ next coach. But he also says there is something to the conversations between him and the Cowboys.
Graziano spoke about Coach Prime and the Cowboys again while on ‘Get Up’ on Friday.
“Look, I continue to think this is not the likely outcome, right. Like, a lot has to happen,” said Graziano. “Deion at Colorado? You know, he’s got some roots down there and has done well.”

However, Graziano also realizes, if Sanders is who Jerry Jones wants to hire, he’ll be who Dalles goes after in their coaching search. He and his franchise are one of the few opportunities that could potentially get him on the sidelines in the NFL.
“It’s not about whether anyone else in the Dallas Cowboys’ facility thinks it makes sense. It’s up to Jerry Jones,” said Graziano. “The fact that they’ve talked is not insignificant. It is Jerry that’s going to make this decision. He could theoretically sell Deion on this opportunity and get him out of Colorado.”
Graziano also wants people to get that this is still early in the process for Dallas. They let their last coach walk to start this week with more candidates to come now, including Sanders’ continued role in this moving forward.

“What I think people have to understand is, if you go back a week and you asked Jerry Jones who the coach of the Cowboys was going to be next year, he would have said Mike McCarthy. Like, they thought they were getting a deal done with McCarthy,” Graziano noted. “They didn’t so their search couldn’t begin until early this week and, as of now, this is part of it.”
Deion Sanders: ‘What God has for u is still for u’
Deion Sanders has taken to social media to reveal his mindset amidst rumors surrounding his future.
Coach Prime is continuing to count on his faith as the calendar turns. With that, he dropped a motivational post regarding his mission statement for the year and the timing is uncanny.
“So what! That should be your attitude in 2025 ‘SO WHAT’! They gon talk about u, lie on u, Hate on u, Underestimate u, Count u out, Steal from u, Use u to come up & Sit right in yo face all the while. ‘SO WHAT’! What God has for u is still for u! They can’t stop God! #CoachPrime” Sanders posted on X on Friday.
