Following a nearly 90-minute severe weather delay, the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers finally kicked off and delivered a closely contested matchup to close out Sunday. With Dallas scoring a touchdown with 20 seconds remaining in regulation to defeat the Steelers 20-17.

The low-scoring matchup featured impressive performances from both defenses. But after the Cowboys ended the game on the winning side of things, one of their players had some choice words for the opposition as he headed into the locker room.

Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis took a shot at Steelers receiver George Pickens after stepping off the field. Calling Pittsburgh’s leading wideout “weak” and proclaiming that the team is in need of a wide receiver in a moment captured in the tunnel following Sunday’s game that can be seen below.

Pickens was targeted seven times on Sunday, ending the night with just three catches for 26 yards as the Steelers’ passing attack continues to struggle this season. Now ranked 27th in the league in passing with 178.2 yards per game through the air after quarterback Justin Fields threw for just 131 yards against Dallas along with two touchdowns and 27 yards on the ground.

Lewis would end the evening with one tackle and one pass breakup apiece. Contributing to a Dallas defense that was severely undermanned and still managed to hold the Steelers under 100 yards rushing, get home on three sacks, and get off the field on third down (Pittsburgh 3-12 on third down Sunday).

The Cowboys generated 445 yards of total offense compared to the 226 yards the Steelers ended the night with. But stingy red zone defense and three turnovers by Dallas kept the game close throughout. Until quarterback Dak Prescott found Jalen Tolbert four a four-yard touchdown pass to complete a 70-yard drive and go ahead in the final minute of the game.

The Steelers have been one of several teams attached to rumors of trading for All-Pro wide receiver Devante Adams. Who requested to be traded last week and would definitely help boost their passing game, as Pittsburgh faces off against Adams’ Las Vegas Raiders team next weekend on the road in Allegiant Stadium.
