Dallas Cowboys staff member named NFL assistant of the year

Dallas Cowboys fans may not have ended the season ideally, but there was no denying they had two of the top coordinators in the NFL. On Thursday night during the NFL Honors celebrating all of the major awards throughout the NFL, defensive coordinator Dan Quinn earned the ultimate honor for a NFL assistant.

After taking over one of the worst NFL defenses in 2020, the former Atlanta Falcons instantly revitalized a unit and found a way to maximize the bevy of talent in creative scheming and coaching.

While Quinn was one of the top candidates for head coaching vacancies throughout the year, he elected to return to the Dallas Cowboys for 2022.
