Cowboys' Dan Quinn to interview with four teams this week
Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has an interview schedule that’s already piling up after his team got booted on Sunday. Quinn will interview with the Carolina Panthers and the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday for their open head coaching jobs. Then, he’ll interview with the Washington Commanders on Thursday and the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, according to Albert Breer.
The interviews at this stage are virtual interviews but they will evolve into in-person sit-downs in the next week. Many of the league’s top candidates for the seven open head coaching jobs are still competing in the playoffs. That’s not the case for Quinn after the Cowboys were embarrassed by the Packers in the Wild Card round.
Quinn won’t leave Dallas without job that ‘lights him up’
Asked about his interest in the head coach market last year, Quinn said that only an opportunity that “lights him up” will get him to walk away from Dallas.
“I’m having a blast here,” Quinn said, via Jon Machota. “If down the line there’s an opportunity that lights me up, we’ll discuss it then.”
The 53-year-old reportedly received a “substantial raise” the first time he chose to stick with the Cowboys. Now, he’ll be lucky if the Cowboys don’t show him the door after the implosion against the Packers. After three failed runs at the conference championship game, Dallas could be headed for a major shakeup this offseason.

Chargers interviewing Jim Harbaugh this week
Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh is set to meet and interview with the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday, per Adam Schefter.
After winning a national championship this past season with the Wolverines, Harbaugh is expected to return to the NFL where he previously coached the San Francisco 49ers. This will likely be the first of several interviews.
“A decision is not expected to be imminent for either side,” Schefter wrote. “Harbaugh will be deliberate with any decision he makes about his future. The Chargers still are going a through interview process and have other candidates that they plan to speak with.”
Jim Harbaugh spent four seasons in the NFL, compiling a 44-19-1 record and taking the 49ers to the Super Bowl.
