Ahead of their Monday Night Football matchup with the New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys have listed their inactive players for the game. Leading the list are two big pass-catching threats for Dallas in tight end Dalton Schultz and wide receiver Michael Gallup.

Gallup continues to be a scratch for Dallas as he attempts to recover from his ACL tear, and will be out for at least one more week. Schultz was to be a game-time decision after suffering a PCL sprain last week, but the Cowboys were still hopeful he would be ready for New York. Unfortunately, Schultz will be inactive for the first time since Week 6 of his 2018 rookie season.

Cowboys vs Giants inactive players

Inactive – Dallas Cowboys: WR Michael Gallup, QB Dak Prescott, CB Nahshon Wright, S Jayron Kearse, LB Luke Gifford, G Connor McGovern, TE Dalton Schultz

Inactive — New York Giants: WR Wan’Dale Robinson, WR Kadarius Toney, DL Leonard Williams, LB Tomon Fox, CB Aaron Robinson, CB Justin Layne, CB Nick McCloud

Appearing on the active roster for the Cowboys this week is rookie receiver Jalen Tolbert, making his rookie debut for Dallas. Also on the active roster is linebacker Jabril Cox — playing in his first game since tearing his ACL on Oct. 31 last season.

Ultimately, Dallas managed to find success on Monday night as Peyton Hendershot filled in for Schultz. Despite a handful of early penalties due to his inexperience — such as a false start on a crucial down, Hendershot’s athleticism was on full display as he attempted to hurdle defenders twice after getting the ball. He finished his start with three catches for 43 yards in the win.

Although Schultz’s injury persisted into Week 4’s practices, Dallas expects to see him ready for game action sooner than later — although Hendershot showed his ability to step up in the position.
