The Dallas Cowboys have activated rookie wide receiver Osirus Mitchell to the practice squad, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. The 6-foot-5 former Mississippi State star missed two months with a left foot sprain on the practice squad-injured list. The Cowboys released wide receiver Damion Ratley from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

Mitchell finished his Mississippi State career with 107 receptions for 1,413 yards and 14 touchdowns, with most of his production coming over the final three seasons. He went undrafted in 2021 and signed a practice squad deal with the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys currently have seven players at wide receiver on the active roster with one on the NFI list and three on the practice squad. With starter Michael Gallup returning to the lineup after a stint on the Injury reserve list, the Cowboys now boast great depth at the position.

Cowboys complete bounce-back win

Following a loss last week to the Denver Broncos, the Dallas Cowboys returned to their winning ways Sunday by rolling to a dominating 43-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The win moved the Cowboys to 7-2 on the season and kept them in first place in the NFC East.

Following the team’s blowout victory, Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy said he was proud of how his team responded to the Denver loss and bounced back in a big way.
