Micah Parsons slams Bart Scott after insensitive comments about Trevon Diggs injury
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons took major offense to NFL analyst Bart Scott on Friday after the former NFL player made light of cornerback Trevon Diggs‘ season-ending ACL tear. Scott used Diggs’ injury as an example of the Cowboys letting fans down.
“This is a major, major blow for Dallas,” Scott said. “Like Stephen A. always says, ‘just wait, something bad always happens.'”
Even Stephen A. Smith responded to Scott with incredulity, saying, “I wouldn’t do that right now, in all seriousness, I’m certainly not going to joke about that.”
“Wtf ?? He ole hating ass old head!! Lame asf!!” Parsons shared in response to the clip from First Take. “This why I really don’t like talking to dudes in the media!! As a former player you are a lame asf bro! Just facts joking bout a man trying to feed his family and building a legacy! ESPN gotta stop letting corn balls on tv!!”
Scott was referencing something Smith said following the Cobwoys’ 40-0 shutout victory over the New York Giants in Week 1.
Not wanting Cowboys fans to bask in the glory of the win for too long, the long-time First Take host told the Get Up desk, “We’ve seen this before.”
“I’ll say this to you, we’ve seen this before, we’ve seen this before,” Smith said. “I just want you to know, everybody’s hype today, I said Rex Ryan’s already got them as the best defense in the league. They’re the gift that keeps on giving. This is what happens You don’t want them plummeting now, it’s early. Go ahead get your hopes up and then BAM! It’s coming.”

Michael Irvin distraught over Diggs news
Former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin unloaded his feelings on Undisputed on Friday following his team’s loss of Trevon Diggs to an ACL tear. The Cowboys legend called Diggs one of the two defensive players that Dallas “can’t do without.”
“This hurts me so much,” Irvin said. “There’s two people I would have said we couldn’t do without. The front end, Micah Parsons, the back end, Trevon Diggs. 9.9 passer rating over the last three years. led the league in interceptions in the last 3 years. That’s a huge part of our defense.
“I know we talk about the things he does on the football field… the thing we’ll miss most is what we saw when everybody made noise when he went at Dak Prescott. We’re going to miss that attitude. That mentality that says, ‘No, You’re not getting in my endzone. Even if you’re my quarterback, you’re not getting in my endzone!’”
“We’ll put DaRon Bland on the backend, he’ll play pretty well… he’s no Trevon Diggs,” Irvin added. “It puts more pressure on the front end of this defense. Because now, you have to get to the quarterback. We can’t leave it up to the back end without Trevon Diggs.”
