A woman has filed a lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in Dallas County court. The suit claims that Jones is her biological father and alleges that he paid her mother to keep the information quiet. The lawsuit was filed by 25-year old Alexandria Davis on March 3. She lives in Washington, D.C. but she filed the suit in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Morning News was one of the first media outlets to report the lawsuit earlier on Wednesday. ESPN also was able to attain a copy of the lawsuit.

Davis currently works as an aide to U.S. House of Representatives Ronny Jackson, after working for 14 months in the Donald Trump White House.

In the suit, she alleges that the billionaire paid her mother hundreds of thousands of dollars in 1996 to hide the fact that he was her father. It’s a secret that Davis said in the lawsuit she’s carried her entire life. Jerry Jones had paid the woman $375,000 in “exchange for confidentiality” and also had a friend and lawyer set up two trusts for Davis that were linked to her and her mother, according to the lawsuit documents attained by ESPN.

The lawsuit also alleges that the Cowboys’ owner “abandoned and shunned” Davis. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and had to remain quiet after her birth on Dec. 16, 1996. It’s only the latest problem for Jerry Jones, who was recently involved in a cheerleading scandal. Even though there was no wrongdoing found in that scandal, he still had to pay a $2.4 million settlement.

It’s been a tough couple of months for Jerry Jones

It’s been a painful couple of months for the Cowboys’ owner, because on-the-field he had to deal with his team getting upset in the NFC Wild Card game at the end of the year, an incredibly disappointing finish. In the offseason, Jones has had to deal with scandal after scandal.
