WATCH: Dallas Cowboys players wish Jerry Jones happy 80th birthday
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones turned 80 years old Thursday, and the Cowboys roster sent the boss man some birthday wishes during his big day.
34 of those years have been spent as the owner of the organization, and under his guide have capture Super Bowls XXVII, XXVIII and XXX. While it’s been over two decades since the Cowboys last world championship, but those inside the organization have nothing respect for him, and made the following victory to showcase just that.
Jones made a definitive statement about the notion that his age might cause him to slow down his day-to-day operations as owner of America’s Team. In fact, Jones said he’s looking forward to the next 15 to 20 years.
“I bought the Cowboys when I was 46. I didn’t acknowledge I was too young to do it then and I will not acknowledge I’m too old to do it now,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “I just don’t look at it like that.’’

The Cowboys are sitting at 4-1 on the season, mostly without franchise quarterback Dak Prescott, though is expected to return soon.. Cooper Rush has taken over in his place and has helped Dallas earn four-straight victories in the weeks since Prescott’s injury and subsequent surgery.
If Dallas can manage one of the best starts the NFL has seen this season, and especially given the circumstances, whose to say Super Bowl LVII isn’t off the table for the Cowboys this year?
First, the Cowboys have to take care of the opponents in front of them. This weekend, that so happens to be NFC East rival and the lone undefeated team remaining in the NFL, the 5-0 Philadelphia Eagles. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET for Week 6’s edition of Sunday Night Football with first place in the division on the line.
