Cowboys put Tyron Smith on 'Hall of Fame' practice schedule
The Dallas Cowboys are implementing a unique strategy to help keep veteran left tackle Tyron Smith on the field every game day this season. For the past couple of weeks, the former first-rounder hasn’t gone through the strenuous portions of practice. The result has been significantly improved play, which led Mike McCarthy to put Smith on what he called on Thursday a “Hall of Fame” schedule.
It’s not uncommon for players getting up there in their years to take a day of rest here and there, but it seems the left tackle will get that advantage moving foward. After the Cowboys lost to the Eagles, McCarthy officially declared Smith “back.”
“That’s the Tyron Smith I remember,” McCarthy said. “That’s the best game I’ve seen Tyron play since I’ve been here in my time here in Dallas.”
The Dallas Cowboys are looking to continue to dominate their schedule, as they’ll travel to Carolina to face the Panthers in Week 11.
Dallas is coming off a drubbing of the New York Giants, while Carolina enjoyed a long break after falling to the Chicago Bears. Both have different aspirations for the remainder of the season. However, the Cowboys are the team that would truly suffer from a Week 11 loss. The Panthers are just trying to get anything going at this point.
Thursday’s injury reports reveal who’s trending to be on the field for both squads.

Panthers add Bryce Young to Thursday’s injury report
On Thursday, the Carolina Panthers added quarterback Bryce Young to the team’s injury report. Darin Gantt provided more details on the team’s website.
“The rookie was listed as a full participant with a thigh issue, but the fact he was a full participant suggests it’s not a serious situation,” Gantt wrote. “Young practiced fully on Wednesday, also.”
