Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had an undeniable performance against the New York Giants on Sunday, extending his streak of great games to three this week. After posting 11 catches for 151 yards with two touchdowns on the day, Lamb told reporters that his performance sends several messages – the most important being that he’s the “top receiver” in the league.

“I’m the top receiver in this game,” Lamb said postgame. “There’s no question about it. If there is, I’ll see you again next week.”

The former first-round draft pick had his third consecutive 10-catch, 150-yard game, which is the first time the feat has been accomplished in the Super Bowl era. Last week, in a loss against the Eagles, he had 11 catches for 191 yards, and the week before, 12 catches for 158 yards. Lamb has scored four times over the last three games, as well.

After the Week 10 slate, the former Sooner is now 101 receiving yards behind the league’s current leader, Tyreek Hill. Lamb’s big game had Dak Prescott singing his praises as well.

“No. 1. He’s the guy I throw to,” Prescott said of Lamb’s place among the league’s best. “I know the work he puts in… Talented guy. And he’s young. He’s scratching the surface. He’s special.”

Lamb on fire for Cowboys

There have been eight other players in NFL history who have had two-game streaks but Lamb is now the first with three in a row. The streak could easily continue next week as the Cowboys travel to Carolina to face the 1-8 Panthers. That’s exactly what Lamb is expecting.

“We’re hitting our stride,” he said. “I’m happy with it this past month. We’ve been on a roll, we just gotta stay consistent and stay true to us.”

Despite double-coverage, the Cowboys’ top receiver found ways to get open, and open up space for his fellow wideouts like Brandin Cooks. He had a team-leading 173 receiving yards on nine catches with a touchdown. Tight end Jake Ferguson and wide receiver Michael Gallup also caught touchdown passes.

“It’s amazing, especially when you come out with the dub,” Lamb said. “Shoutout to the guys. O-line holding up, Dak feeding me, all of the receivers opening it up for me. It’s a collective group. We’re staying blessed, staying humble about it.”

“They’re definitely trying to double me, but [McCarthy] is doing a great job of moving me around and putting me in motion, lining me up on the outside,” he added. “I guess you can’t get a beat. It’s Mike versus the DC at this point.”
