Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott announces engagement on Instagram

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott announced his engagement to girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos in a Friday Instagram post.

The couple were first linked in September 2023, according to People.com. Their daughter, Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, was born on Feb. 29 of this year.

Margaret appeared to be an important part of their engagement, as her onesie read “Mommy, Daddy Has A Question For You!?”

Dak Prescott, Cowboys head into bye week after sluggish start

Prescott’s engagement comes during the Cowboys’ bye week, which is coming at a great time for Dallas. The Cowboys are five days removed from a 47-9 home defeat to the Detroit Lions and have now dropped three straight home regular season contests after going undefeated inside AT&T Stadium in 2023.

Dating back to the 48-32 defeat to the Green Bay Packers (4-2) in last season’s NFC Wild Card Round, the Cowboys have surrendered 167 points in their last four home contests. That is the third most over a four-game span at home in NFL history, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. The latest loss was their biggest at home since team owner Jerry Jones purchased the team in 1989. 

The bye week represents a chance for Dallas to regroup and get back at it in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers.

“At the end of the day, if we totally don’t believe it’s about us, it’ll always be about us, and play to who we are, what we do, how we do it, then we’re not going to get to where we want to go,” head coach Mike McCarthy said this week. “And I believe we will. I think this is an opportunity that we relish, I know I relish it, and I think they do too.”
