Five of six wild card games are in the books as the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers prepare for their Monday night face-off in Florida. The winner moves on to a road matchup versus the San Francisco 49ers and the loser goes home. Ahead of the matchup, the Cowboys released a hype video capturing the overarching theme of the season: Resilience.

The hype video begins with a voiceover clip of ESPN talking head Max Kellerman predicting how the game will go. Dallas is trying to silence doubters like Kellerman by winning a game versus Tom Brady for the first time in his decades-long career and winning a playoff game on the road for the first time in 30 years.

“We’re all thinking the same thing,” Kellerman says in the clip. “It’s the Dallas Cowboys. They’ll figure out a way to screw it up. And it’s Tom Brady. He’ll figure out a way to get it done.”

The Cowboys have had doubters all season long after a series of major losses in the offseason. They traded Amari Cooper, lost Randy Gregory, released La’el Collins, and lost left tackle Tyron Smith for almost the entirety of the regular season due to injury. Not only that, they also lost quarterback Dak Prescott in the first game of the year, triggering the death knell in Dallas. Through all of that, the Cowboys were resilient.

After shaking off a Week 1 loss versus the Bucs, the Cowboys went on to win four straight with backup Cooper Rush. Prescott returned and notched a 12-5 record for the year. Now, they are heading into their first playoff game as healthy as they could have hoped.

Mike McCarthy struck a confident tone all week despite the Cowboys’ embarrassing 26-6 flop versus the Commanders last weekend. After all, Dallas has consistently found ways to win each game following a loss this year.

After losses versus Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, Green Bay and Jacksonville, the Cowboys went on to beat Cincinnati, Detroit, Minnesota and Philadelphia. Not only have they won the next game after a loss, they’ve also followed each loss with at least two wins.

“It just goes back to your consistency and approach,” McCarthy said about his team’s ability to bounce back. “Understanding what we do in the preparation phase of it… It’s about sticking to your principles and your process.”

The team left for Tampa on Sunday after a walkthrough practice on Saturday. Kickoff versus the Bucs is at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday. Dallas will share the inactives report with less than two hours until game time. The report should be short as they returned linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, center Tyler Biadasz and defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins this week.
