Once again, the Dallas Cowboys have a lengthy injury report to start the week. It’s not all bad news, but one of their biggest stars missed Wednesday’s practice.

Micah Parsons was held out Wednesday as he deals with a groin injury. The former Penn State star and reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year dealt with the injury during last week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams and still managed to win Defensive Player of the Week.

Another notable playmaker to miss Wednesday’s practice is Dak Prescott, who’s still working his way back from a thumb injury. Coach Mike McCarthy said he’s preparing for Cooper Rush to start the Sunday Night Football showdown against the Eagles, which doesn’t bode well for Prescott’s return.

Did not practice: RB Rico Dowdle (ankle), LB Micah Parsons (groin), QB Dak Prescott (thumb)

Parsons was clearly bothered by the groin injury during the second half last week, but still put together a big day with two sacks, a forced fumble and five total tackles in the victory over the Rams. McCarthy said his star linebacker is “getting better,” but missing Wednesday’s practice could be a cause for concern for fans.

Limited participants: DE DeMarcus Lawrence (chest), T Jason Peters (chest), TE Dalton Schultz (knee)

Schultz was a full go for last week’s game, but ended up leaving with a knee injury. He has nine receptions for 80 yards this year, but has only been targeted four times in his last two appearances.

Full participants: DT Quinton Bohanna (neck/shoulder), TE Jake Ferguson (knee), S Jayron Kearse (knee), CB Jourdan Lewis (groin), G Connor McGovern (ankle), S Donovan Wilson (ankle)

Six Cowboys were full-go in practice on Wednesday despite their injury designations. The most notable is Wilson, who leads Dallas with 39 tackles this year. He was also on last week’s injury report, but ended up shedding his injury designation by game time.
