Dallas Cowboys rule out three players for Monday night vs. Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys have ruled out three players for Monday night’s NFC East battle vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
“Cowboys DE Dorance Armstrong, DT Carlos Watkins, OT Ty Nsekhe will not play Monday night against the Eagles,” John Machota of the Athletic reported.
Despite facing adversity from injuries last week, the Cowboys were able to to showcase their depth and knock off the Los Angeles Chargers 20-17 in a crucial road win.
Keanu Neal update
The Cowboys might also be without the services of linebacker Keanu Neal for their Monday night matchup against the Eagles. Neal will be added to the Cowboys reserve/COVID-19 list as of Sept. 22.
Dallas was looking forward to getting one step closer to having the defense at full strength. Defensive end Randy Gregory was recently cleared to play this week. But it looks like Neal and Gregory could be swapping places this week.

Due to the league’s rules pertaining to COVID-19, Neal will have to be away from the team for at least five consecutive days, because he is believed to have been in close contact with someone infected with the virus and not infected himself. It’s just a five-day turnaround. However, according to David J Chao of Pro Football Doc, he will need to test negative in each of the five days he is away from the team.
CeeDee Lamb gives insight into Dallas Cowboys trick play
The Cowboys almost pulled off some trickery at the end of the first half in last Sunday’s 20-17 win vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.
As the second quarter came to an end, the Dallas ran one last play to try to find the end zone.
Here’s how second-year wide receiver CeeDee Lamb explained the wild series of events.
“I was initially supposed to run underneath, get the pass from Dak,” Lamb said.
The Dallas Cowboys’ emerging star continued to give keen insight into the play.
“I kinda improvised. He rolled out left. I matched his scramble rules. At that point, we’re just playing football. I’m trying to get to the endzone. Its something that would’ve looked good, but it didn’t.”
The Dallas Cowboys appear to be one of the more interesting storylines to follow as they enter Week 3 with their first NFC East test against the Philadelphia Eagles.
