Former Kansas offensive lineman Earl Bostick has landed at his new NFL home. After declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft following a six-year career in Lawrence, but not being drafted, Bostick was signed by the Dallas Cowboys, per Tom Pelissero. The deal includes $220,000 guaranteed.

Bostick’s entrance into the professional ranks comes after quite the journey with the Jayhawks. As mentioned, he spent six years with the team and developed into a pretty reliable starter in the back half of his career. He originally started some games at tight end as a true freshman, but moved over to the offensive line by the next season.

Then, in 2020 he started a handful of games along the OL before breaking out as a full-time starter at left tackle in 2021. By this past season, Bostick developed into one of the sturdier lineman in the whole Big 12 as the team’s veteran leader. He’s a tremendous testament to player development at the FFB level and also made a slew of All-Academic teams, including an appearance on the 2022 Academic All-American second team.

A very bright kid who has done nothing but improve since stepping foot on the Kansas campus.

“Bostick was an all-region tight end in his junior and senior years at Barnwell High School in South Carolina, as well as an all-area defensive lineman. He signed with the Jayhawks to play tight end, where he started four games in 2017 (his only catch was an 8-yard score against Texas). He moved to the offensive line the following year, playing in eight games as a reserve in 2018 and in the final four games of 2019 while redshirting to keep a year of eligibility. Bostick started seven of nine appearances in 2020, five at right tackle and two on the left side. He earned honorable mention All-Big 12 notice in 2021, playing well in 12 starts at left tackle and scoring a two-point conversion on a screen pass against West Virginia. Bostick was an honorable mention selection again in 2022, starting all 13 games at left tackle while also earning second-team Academic All-American honors.”

That’s a laundry list of impressive achievements by the Jayhawk O-lineman throughout his half-a-dozen years with the program. Best of luck to a Kansas legend as he embarks on his professional career.
