The Dallas Cowboys are hosting some of the top 2023 NFL Draft prospects for top-30 visits this week. New to the visit list are Clemson linebacker Trenton Simpson and Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Simpson and Hyatt will both visit Dallas on Tuesday.

Simpson finished his junior season with 77 tackles for Clemson. He also had 4 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He opted out of Clemson’s bowl game to begin prep for the draft. Prior to last season, he posted 10 sacks over 2020 and 2021.

Simpson ended up running one of the fastest 40-yard dash times for a prospect at his position. He clocked in with a 4.43. ESPN’s No. 1 best-available inside linebacker, he was a five-star prospect coming out of high school, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The Cowboys have a lot of visitors coming in but specifically, a lot of wide receivers. Hyatt joins Quentin JohnstonZay Flowers, Jonathan Mingo and Josh Downs as wideouts getting closer looks from Dallas. Although the Cowboys picked up veteran Brandin Cooks in a trade this offseason, it’s still a position worth improving for 2023.

Hyatt had a breakout season for the Vols in 2022 alongside quarterback Hendon Hooker. The pair helped lead head coach Josh Heupel’s up-tempo offense to a No. 1 ranking in the AP Poll at one point during the season.
