Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs took to Twitter this week after Madden NFL 24 released the ratings for his position ahead of the 2023 season. The game comes out in mid-August but it sounds like he won’t be putting it on pre-order.
“87 Overall, Throw your whole game away I’m not fw it lol” Diggs said.
The Cowboys corner continued tweeting out his reactions, sharing “Media got everybody brainwashed,” as well as, “fake news.”
Quote tweeting a question about which factor matters more between coverage and productivity, Diggs responded: “Productivity”
As the man tied for the most interceptions in the league over the last three seasons, it seems natural that Diggs appreciates productivity above all else. To the game’s credit, Madden did give him the highest rating for catching amongst all cornerbacks.
Although the former Alabama star did not make it into the top 10 based on his overall rating, one of his teammates did. New Cowboys defensive back Stephon Gilmore came in at No. 7 with a 91 overall rating.
Dallas signed Gilmore in the offseason to pair opposite Diggs. The former Colt has 29 career interceptions over his first 11 seasons.

Former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant gave fans a little behind-the-scenes scoop on the ongoing contract discussions this week. Speaking on Personal Corner, Bryant shared what he’s told the star cornerback as he enters the final year of his rookie contract.
“’Diggs you’ve done something that a lot of cornerbacks have not done in their first three years in the NFL,’” Bryant said, “I told him, ‘You don’t compromise that.’”
Bryant also accused his former team of not being “fair” to Diggs in the discussions, despite the former second-round pick being reasonable.
“He [Diggs] is not trying to knock them across the head,” Bryant said. “I will say they [Cowboys] not trying to be fair to him… Feel like what he’s asking for he’s rightfully deserving of that contract. I believe it should all be guaranteed, that’s my opinion I’m not going to get into full details of our conversation.”
The top-paid cornerbacks in the league are currently making between $21 million to $18 million per year. Former first-rounder Denzel Ward signed a five-year deal for $100.5 million last offseason. Jaire Alexander topped that figure weeks later with a four-year deal for $84 million.
