LOOK: Trevon, Stefon Diggs tweets spark NFC East trade rumors
Dallas Cowboys fans have been wishing for a Diggs brothers reunion in DFW for a couple years now. Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs even appeared to tamper with his brother early this offseason when he tweeted that Stefon should join him in Dallas.
However, the latest tweets from the Diggs duo have sparked rumors that the Bills wideout could instead join one of the Cowboys’ NFC East rivals.
First, on Saturday night, Stefon Diggs tweeted, “Comeeeeee anddddd rescue me…” He added some clarification hours later, telling one fan that it was a reference to a song. His explanation is probable enough. Rapper/singer Drake did just release a song titled, Rescue me.
However, Trevon Diggs then added some fuel to the speculation when he tweeted hours after his brother. He wrote, “We could play each other twice a year,” with a popcorn emoji.
The former Alabama defensive back appears to have let go of the dream of playing with his brother. But now, he’s relishing the opportunity to face him twice a year if he joins the Giants, Eagles or Commanders.

As it stands, the Cowboys will play Stefon Diggs’ Bills once this season. Although the 2023 season schedule is not out yet, their list of home and away opponents revealed that Dallas will travel to Buffalo this year.
Diggs brothers’ April Fools’ Day?
The Diggs brothers’ tweets perhaps came too close to April Fools to merit serious consideration. On top of that, Stefon agreed to a contract restructuring in mid-March to help the Bills out with their 2023 cap space. They converted $6.75 million of his salary into a signing bonus. His dead cap hit of over $30 million would punish the Bills severely if he left.
In 2022, the Buffalo star had his second-most productive receiving season with 1,429 regular season yards. He also had his best scoring season of his career with 11 touchdowns.
