There’s just one more day of practice before the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers meet for their Wild Card round matchup in AT&T Stadium on Sunday. On Friday, both teams worked to get injured starters back, with varied levels of success.

Dallas added backup quarterback Cooper Rush to the injury report on Friday due to an illness. He’s listed as questionable for Sunday. If Rush isn’t available for the game, the Cowboys have third-stringer Trey Lance ready to go. The other major question mark is Johnathan Hankins, who has been nursing an ankle injury for a month.

The Cowboys cleared cornerback Stephon Gilmore and left guard Tyler Smith for gameday this week and they made more progress Friday. Gilmore suffered a shoulder injury against the Commanders and is planning to play with a brace on his shoulder. Meanwhile, Smith missed Week 18 due to the torn plantar fascia in his foot. Mike McCarthy told reporters that both players handled Thursday’s heavy practice load well and neither has an injury designation heading into the weekend.

Green Bay caught a bad break on Wednesday, potentially losing star cornerback Jaire Alexander for the Wild Card game. Alexander stepped on a teammate’s foot and sprained his ankle. He didn’t practice on Friday, nor did running back AJ Dillon who is dealing with a neck/stinger injury. Though he has slightly fewer yards than Aaron Jones, Dillon leads the Packers running backs this season in carries with 178.
