The Buffalo Bills (9-2) will be without tight end Dalton Kincaid for Sunday’s Week 13 home contest against the San Francisco 49ers (5-6), head coach Sean McDermott announced Friday.

Kincaid, nursing a knee injury, will be sidelined for a second consecutive game after missing the Week 11 home win over the Kansas City Chiefs (10-1).

Kincaid, the 2023 first round pick out of Utah, is second on the Bills with 34 receptions, to go along with 356 yards and two touchdowns. He was a standout as a rookie, reeling in 73 passes for 673 yards and two scores.

Dawson Knox will get the start in Kincaid’s absence, as he did against Kansas City. Knox hauled in four receptions for 40 yards in the win over the Chiefs. Knox has nine catches for 135 yards in his last four games.

Bills going into another game without Dalton Kincaid

The Bills, riding high after snapping the Chiefs’ 10-0 start to the season, are coming off their bye week. McDermott said he used the off week to watch the other teams around the league play, further realizing how grateful he is to be in Buffalo.

“I think this time this week, specifically with Thanksgiving, you’re grateful for just the opportunity to go out there and be in the room with these guys and gals on this team,” McDermott said earlier this week, via the team’s official website. “And you get a chance to watch over the bye week, other teams and other organizations. And you realize how good we have it here.”

While one of the teams to beat in the AFC, quarterback Josh Allen isn’t letting he and his teammates lose focus on beating San Francisco.

“We’re not into the playoffs yet,” Allen said. “Job’s not finished, and we’re just trying to find a way to go 1-0 this week.”
