Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin released a video thanking all the fans who shared their tremendous support for him during his recovery. Hamlin suffered a life-threatening cardiac arrest incident on the field during Monday Night Football after getting hit in his chest while making a tackle, requiring him to be intubated after receiving CPR and defibrillator treatment on the field.
His incredible recovery became a moment for fans and his fellow athletes around the nation to lend their support and prayers to the young rising star — including massive donations to Hamlin’s charity efforts in his name while he remained in the hospital.

Damar Hamlin releases thank-you video to fans
Hamlin was able to leave the hospital shortly afterwards, and was present for Buffalo’s Divisional Round matchup last week where he was able to continue to be a motivating force for his teammates so soon after his injury. On Saturday, Hamlin continued to show the world his gratitude for all of the support he received for his charity as he works towards his full recovery.
“While I’m so thankful to everybody, I know that it isn’t enough just to be thankful,” said Hamlin in the clip shared via his Twitter. “This is just the beginning of the impact that I wanted to have on the world. And with God’s guidance I will continue to do wonderful and great things. I couldn’t do this without any of the support and the love and I can’t wait to continue to take y’all on this journey with me.”
