Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell gave an electric locker room speech to his guys after they beat the L.A. Rams on Sunday night. The win was the franchise’s first playoff victory in 32 years, officially ending the league’s longest drought.

NFL fans who watched the Detroit Lions on Hard Knocks became very familiar with Campbell’s locker room energy but he took it to another level after beating the Rams.

“We play next Sunday back here at home guys,” Campbell told the cheering locker room. “We’ve got the winner of Tampa and Philly, we’ll be here at 3 o’clock, back at Ford Field, because you guys f***** earned it. How electric was it out there? I’ll tell you what, it doesn’t get any better. That’s everything you dream of and then more.

Campbell awarded the first of two game balls to Lions general manager Brad Holmes, telling the former Rams scout, “I love you, man, great job.” He then moved on to quarterback Jared Goff, which lit the room on fire.

“Let me just say it like this, you’re good enough for f****** Detroit, Jared Goff,” Campbell said before handing the ball off to the former Rams star.

“Hey, I love and appreciate you guys,” Goff said. “This is just the beginning, boys. This is just the f***** beginning. We got three more of these m****f******. Next week, at home, at our place, against whoever the f*** wants to come in here. Let’s go. Win on three.”

Against his former team, Goff threw for 277 yards and one touchdown on 22-of-27 passing. He took three sacks but didn’t give up the football in the 24-23 matchup where every possession mattered.
