Fresh off of his wedding, Daniel Suárez is getting behind the wheel of a racecar this weekend in the NASCAR Brazil Series. Already with a win in the Cup Series and Mexico Series in 2024, is Suárez going to be the first driver with a win in three international NASCAR series in the same season?

I love seeing how other countries do stock car racing. The cars in the Cup Series are nothing like the Mexico cars, which are nothing like Canada, and nothing like Brazil, either.

Racing in the No. 91 Chevy, Daniel Suárez has been sharing images and videos from his preparation. He will participate in three races, with the finale coming on Sunday.

Here he is getting comfortable in the seat.

For those wondering, here is what the car looks like. There is a hatch on the back almost like a crossover or hatchback, and the doors don’t open out, they open upward. Butterfly doors in NASCAR? Count me in.

Daniel Suárez won the Mexico Series race at the LA Coliseum. Then he won in one of the closest finishes ever in NASCAR history in the Cup Series at Atlanta. I think we are likely to see him in Victory Lane once more. This time, in Brazil.

Daniel Suárez joins Brazilian racing family

With his wedding this week, Daniel Suárez is now officially a member of the Piquet family. His wife, Julia Piquet, is the daughter of former three-time Formula 1 champion and Brazilian racing legend, Nelson Piquet.

Racing in Brazil is a big deal for Suárez and his new family. Winning would be an even bigger deal. There is a little bit more to this situation than meets the eye, too. Julia has a sister, Kelly, who is dating….Max Verstappen.

Since 2021, Kelly Piquet and Max Verstappen have been together. If Verstappen and his girlfriend ever decide to settle down, then Suárez and Verstappen would become brothers-in-law.

There is a ton of fun and interesting things happening with Daniel Suárez. Married in Brazil, joins a historically great racing family, and is planning on punching in a win this weekend as he takes on the NASCAR races.
