Daniel Suárez to compete in NASCAR Mexico Series race at LA Coliseum

When NASCAR takes over the Los Angeles Coliseum in February, Daniel Suárez will compete in the NASCAR Mexico Series race.
It’s going to be a huge honor for Suárez, who announced the news via press release on Tuesday, revealing Trackhouse Racing and Quaker State will continue their partnership moving forward, and they’ll be on the hood of his car for the event.
“Today, Trackhouse Racing and Quaker State announced the extension of their sponsorship and technical alliance that was forged in early 2023,” the press release read. “In addition to primary sponsorship races on the No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 driven by Daniel Suárez and associate branding on the Chevrolet Camaro driven by Ross Chastain, Quaker State will be the primary sponsor of Suárez in the NASCAR Mexico Series race at the LA Coliseum on Feb. 4.
“Quaker State and Trackhouse Racing announced their initial affiliation at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) in March of 2023. Later in the year, Suárez raced his No. 99 Quaker State Chevrolet to second, his best finish of the season, in the 13th annual Quaker State 400 at AMS.”
It’s something that means a ton to Suárez. Even though he’s a full-fledged Cup Series racer now, he’s not forgetting where his roots were forged.
“I never thought I would have the opportunity to race in the Mexico Series again,” said Suárez, via the press release. “There are a ton of people who helped me in my career still involved in the series so it will be cool to go back and race with them.
“NASCAR’s Mexico Series is a great place to learn and over time I think will start producing drivers who will come to America. I cannot thank Quaker State and NASCAR enough for making this opportunity possible.”

Additionally, Bree Sandlin, Vice President of Shell Lubricants North America Marketing, couldn’t be more excited for Quaker State to team with Suárez and Trackhouse as a whole again moving forward.
“We are extremely happy to announce an increased alliance with Trackhouse Racing in 2024 and the addition of the NASCAR Mexico Series race with Daniel,” added Sandlin. “Trackhouse is a championship-contending team with talented drivers Daniel Suárez, Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen and is stewarded by a fantastic ownership tandem in Justin Marks and Pitbull.
“This is the perfect match with the energy Trackhouse brings to the sport and Quaker State’s legacy of winning motorsports moments and strong heritage in the Mexico market.”
Alas, Daniel Suárez will have a ton of eyes on him when he takes the track in Los Angeles, and it’ll certainly be a picture to see when the time comes.
