Earlier this week, Stephen Jones discussed Bland’s status this weekend, and everything seems to be trending positively to make his debut.
“I think DaRon Bland has a real chance,” Jones said. “I don’t know if he’ll play the whole game but I think he’s ready to start mixing it up. Short of a real setback, DaRon should be ready to dress and help us on the defensive side of the ball and the secondary.”

Bland is coming off of a breakout season in 2023 during which he led the league with nine interceptions, including five returned for a touchdown — an NFL record. He added 15 passes defended to earn his first career Pro Bowl appearance and was named first-team All-Pro.
Elsewhere on the injury report, Micah Parsons has yet to practice this week while nursing a high ankle sprain which he suffered in Week 4.
For the Detroit Lions, their injury report featured just three names on Thursday. Offensive linemen Frank Ragnow and Christian Mahogany were featured on the injury report along with safety Brian Branch.
The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions will square off Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
