Davante Adams crashes Aaron Rodgers’ Pat McAfee Show interview hours after being traded to Jets
Aaron Rodgers surprised the crew at The Pat McAfee Show when Davante Adams appeared with him on-screen during his weekly interview. It was reported that the Las Vegas Raiders traded Adams to the New York Jets, which means Adams and Rodgers will team up again. With Adams crashing Rodgers’ interview, it looks like they are more than ready to help the Jets turn things around.
Rodgers and Adams played together when they were with the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2021. During that time, Rodgers threw 68 touchdown passes to Adams, which is the most TDs he has thrown to any receiver in his career.
While appearing on Up & Adams this past summer, Adams was asked if Rodgers talked to him about playing together again. “He’s in the ear, that’s for sure, he’s in the ear,” Adams said, per Pro Football Talk. “But it’s not as easy. Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I’m a Raider, and he knows that.”
Earlier this month, Rodgers was asked about possibly playing with Adams amid the trade rumors. “I don’t know how much I can say about it because of tampering, but I still have a close friendship with him,” Rodgers said. “We spend time in the offseason together. He’s a great guy and a great player. The rest of that is out of my hands.”

More on Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams
The Adams trade comes after the Jets suffered a tough loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football to drop to 2-4 on the year. Adams makes the Jets more dangerous on offense, but how does he fit in their scheme?
“It’s hard to integrate a new receiver into an offense during the season, but this isn’t your typical situation because of the previous chemistry between Adams and Rodgers,” Richi Cimini of ESPN wrote. “Once upon a time, they were magic together. They shared that rare telepathy that great receivers and quarterbacks have. They might not be able to recapture it by flicking a switch, but it shouldn’t take that long. Their background is the reason why this could actually work.”
