“Bussin’ With The Boys” will be parking with a new company moving forward.

According to Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports, “Bussin’ With The Boys,” hosted by Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, will no longer be with the company moving forward. He shared that news on Friday during the latest episode of “The Unnamed Show,” which Compton even made an appearance on, by saying they received another offer to take their show elsewhere.

“This is the world that we’re in, really, and we’ve been in…There’s always more value for a company taking talent that are already here,” said Portnoy. “Good for them. They got an offer that was so big it’s like, I can’t.”

“This is almost everybody who leaves Barstool. When they leave, you better make us an offer that isn’t even close to what they are because we want to stay. Like, Will wants to stay. Taylor wants to stay. But it’s a compliment to Barstool. These people just pillage us. They can’t build people up. They can’t make the stars. It’s Saturday Night Live. We make stars,” Portnoy explained. “If we paid those guys what they wanted and we paid (etc.), we’d have no company. It just wouldn’t. We don’t make that much.”

As Portnoy said, Barstool tried what they could to keep “Bussin’ With The Boys” but their other offer was simply too much for them to overcome financially.

“It sucks. Like I told them, I told Bussin’ I made what I would say was my most aggressive move to keep them…I was willing to pay them money that we would have been losing money. Like, there’s no way we would have made money. And then it went so far over that it’s like, we’d be losing tens of millions of dollars, basically. I can’t do that,” said Portnoy. “Like we were going to take a bloodbath so it just can’t work. It sucks but that’s it…It really sucked…I did everything. I really tried and I am disappointed. It’s the first time I’m really like, ‘Ah, eh, that hurts’ – and I think they feel the same way, to be totally honest.”

“The Barstool effect works. It’s what we tell people when you come in. There’s no way I could ever begrudge them. I would take their deal, probably, too if I was in their shoes. It’s just so much f****** money,” said Portnoy. “So, good for them.”

This comes the day after Lewan and Compton were part of the finale of the fourth season of “Surviving Barstool.” That now looks to be their final outing as part of the brand with this news today.

“Bussin’ With The Boys” is a top podcast and show with Lewan, Compton, and their team. It ranks in the Top-30 at No. 27 overall on the charts per the category of top sports shows on Apple Podcasts. Their page on YouTube for the video component of the show also has 587,000 subscribers. It’s what both have built since the end of their respective careers in the NFL after Lewan spent nine years as a left tackle with the Tennessee Titans and Compton spent nine of his own as a linebacker with the Washington Redskins, Tennessee Titans, and Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders.

“Bussin With The Boys” had been at Barstool since 2019. Now, the two will go their separate ways with the show and its hosts yet to announce who they’ll be with next moving forward.
