Barstool Sports’ founder and owner Dave Portnoy threatened a boycott of the NFL after the Buffalo Bills were ruled short on a 4th down conversion attempt vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.

Portnoy, of course, placed a large wager on the game going into Sunday. The Barstool mogul placed a $1 million wager for the Bills to win the Super Bowl, so he needed Buffalo to win Sunday.

With the Bills up 22-21, QB Josh Allen tried to convert a fourth down play, but was ruled short. And after review, he was still ruled short.

You can make the call by viewing the play below.

After the Bills failed to convert, the Chiefs promptly marched down the field. The ensuing drive was capped off by a Patrick Mahomes rushing touchdown to go ahead 29-22.

But all was not lost. The Bills battled back and tied the game 29-29 after giving up a score, making it all square with 6:15 to go in the game.

Patrick Everson of Vegas Insider revealed how much Portnoy would win if the Bills come out on top. He wrote on X, “If the Bills win it all, then the [Barstool Sports] founder pockets $5.5 million in profit.”

Portnoy, who is known for making big bets, must feel like this is the year the Bills get over the hump and win their first Super Bowl. The only issue is the team had to face the defending back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas Chiefs in the AFC Championship on Sunday. The Bills and Chiefs have faced each other in the playoffs four times since 2020, and the Chiefs won all four games.
