It is just the first week of the season and the si-reen is already going off in Dawsonville following Chase Elliott’s win at Bowman Gray. Elliott took home his first NASCAR Clash victory of his career tonight in dominating fashion.

When Chase Elliott wins, Dawsonville celebrates. The Dawsonville Pool Room has the si-reen wound up and echoing throughout the town. It’s going to be a late night down in Georgia.

After leading 171 laps, Elliott parked his Chevy in Victory Lane. He capped it off with an epic burnout. But you know the Pool Room had to get that si-reen fired up.

Ryan Blaney tried his best to track down Chase Elliott. Coming back from the provisional starting spot in the back, Blaney didn’t have the tire late to compete. Denny Hamlin led laps tonight as well, but his car wasn’t good enough in the second half of the race.

This was the perfect weekend for Elliott. Fastest time in qualifying, won his Heat Race from pole and then won the Clash from the pole. It could not have gone better for the Hendrick Motorsports driver yesterday and today.

The NASCAR season has started. We will be in Daytona very soon. Then it is a long year of racing until we get to Phoenix in November again. Tonight things started off with a bang at the Madhouse.

Chase Elliott dominates Clash at Bowman Gray

About as dominant of a win as you can hope for from Chase Elliott tonight as he won his first-ever Clash. He led the most laps in Clash history. Then he gave the fans one of the best burnouts you will see all NASCAR season.

Besides a couple dozen or so laps that Denny Hamlin led, tonight was all about Elliott. The No. 9 team had that Chevy hooked up.

Other than Hamlin, pure domination from Chase Elliott. He was fantastic from start to finish. Let’s be honest, he was the best of the week. The fastest time in practice/qualifying, won his Heat Race from the pole, and then won the Clash from the pole.

You know that Elliott fans are celebrating tonight. This is the first Clash win for Elliott in his career, that’s a big deal. It might also signal to them that Elliott and his crew chief Alan Gustafson have found the speed they were missing in 2024.

If this is Chase Elliott showing what is to come this season, then that is a good thing for NASCAR. The more he wins, the more people tune in. Is this just the beginning of a winning season for the 9 team?
