Ahead of the Daytona 500, the purse has been revealed for the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series races.

Of course, Daytona weekend represents the quickest way to make a name for yourself in the NASCAR world. It may only be the first race of the season, but it’s the biggest for each of the three major series, and all eyes will be on who captures the checkered flag.

The purse for each event represents the major boon crossing the finish line will give to a team. Check out the amount of money that’ll be on the line, and how it could change the trajectory of a driver’s career, and a team’s standing.

“Daytona 500 purse (all payouts to teams for competing, three-year charter history, finishing position, duels, etc): $28,035,991. Xfinity opener: $3,510,021. Truck opener: $1,058,336,” FOX’s Bob Pockrass shared to X, formerly known as Twitter.

That’s a huge chunk of change for all three series that’ll run this weekend at Daytona. No wonder why there’s so much beating and banging on the race track, as the drivers look to capture a game-changing check, and a memorable win.

Time will tell who’s able to bring home the bacon, but an exciting weekend is on hand finally at Daytona, and race fans can’t wait to see the action that’ll kickstart the 2024 season. Here we go.

Much like a former RCR driver who tried for years to win the Daytona 500, Rowdy has spent the last 20 years trying to accomplish the feat. He has two championships, more than 60 wins, and could be considered one of the greatest to ever race a stock car. Still, Busch is missing one trophy from his case.

Denny Hamlin has three Harley J. Earl trophies, so he knows a thing or two about Daytona. On his Actions Detrimental podcast, Hamlin said if he doesn’t win, he believes it is his former teammate’s turn to take the checkered flag.

“I’m not saying me. I know I’m going to win, but if I don’t I have a bold prediction,” Hamlin told his cohost Jared. “Kyle Busch wins his first Daytona 500.”

Last year, Busch led on lap 200. If it was the old days, before overtime, he would have won the race. Unfortunately for him, restarts and a wreck kept him from glory. While Hamlin isn’t sure what to make of Busch’s success at RCR right now, he just has a feeling that the driver is going to win the Daytona 500.

“Like Kyle Busch. I don’t know what to do with Kyle Busch. I sat here, look what I wrote down, says ‘Busch wins Daytona.’ That’s just a gut thing, I write it down.”
