DeAndre Hopkins sends message to his future team, wide receiver room
There is currently a sweepstakes to land free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. After all, for teams who need help at wide receiver, there isn’t going to be another shot to land someone of his caliber before the 2023 NFL season begins.
Before he makes a decision on his future, though, Hopkins decided to take to social media where he explained what he’s going to bring to his future team.
“Whoever’s in my future wide receiver group,” DeAndre Hopkins said. “I promise I will make your job easy.”
Unfortunately, there isn’t a hint at where DeAndre Hopkins is likely to go, but it certainly is a bold promise. If it’s the truth, it’s also the kind of promise that gets players excited about the prospect of playing with someone.
Hopkins is also one of the few NFL receivers who is capable of doing this too. After all, he’s going to demand the most attention and best cover corners from opposing defenses. This should then allow the other receivers to have more space to make big plays.
By making things easier on other receivers, he’s making everything easier on the entire offense. That also makes life easier on the quarterback. With that improved passing game, holes should open up for the running game too. So, the value of adding a player like DeAndre Hopkins can be hard to quantify.

Another cryptic tweet, this one from Matthew Judon of the Patriots, has recently got fans thinking.
“GM of the year?” Judon tweeted without any other information. So, fans are going to have to try and figure out what that might mean.
ESPN insider on the impact of DeAndre Hopkins on the Patriots
ESPN insider and former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum thinks that DeAndre Hopkins could have a massive impact on the New England Patriots. He explained this impact during an episode of Get Up.
“They can win the AFC East with DeAndre Hopkins. He is still a No. 1 receiver, because of the way he can run routes, his catching radius. Arizona scored 6 more points per game in the games he played than when he didn’t play,” Tannenbaum said. “I think they go to the top of the AFC East [with Hopkins]. He doesn’t leave the building. I figure out how to get him signed today.”
Of course, while the Patriots are considered a possible landing spot for DeAndre Hopkins, nothing has been decided. Other teams, like the Tennessee Titans, are also making a push for his services.
