DeAndre Hopkins trade: Kansas City Chiefs land Tennessee Titans WR
The Tennessee Titans will trade DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Trade comp: DeAndre Hopkins is expected to go from Tennessee to Kansas City for a conditional fourth-round pick, per sources,” Schefter wrote on Twitter. “Chiefs lost WR Hollywood Brown to a shoulder injury during the preseason, WR Rashee Rice to a knee injury last month, and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster to a hamstring injury last week. But WR help now is expected to be on the way with DeAndre Hopkins.”
The Chiefs are currently 6-0 following a win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Hopkins, who’s in his 12th season, has played all six games for the Titans this year with three starts.
This season, he has 15 catches for 173 yards and one touchdown. He was in his second season with the Titans after spending three with the Arizona Cardinals.
Following a stellar career with the Houston Texans, Hopkins continued during his first year in Arizona, catching 115 passing for 1,407 yards and six touchdowns.

Over the course of his career, Hopkins has 943 catches, 12,528 yards, 79 touchdowns and 13.3 yards per catch. Perhaps this change of scenery and playing with guys like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce could unlock some late career potential.
Not to mention the chance to win a Super Bowl before he hangs it up.
Hopkins was the No. 27 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Texans out of Clemson. A three-time First-Team All-Pro selection, Hopkins is considered one of the best receivers of the last decade.
A five-time Pro Bowler, Hopkins was also First-Team All-ACC in his final collegiate season in 2012 and named Second-Team All-American.
