Denny Hamlin skeptical of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship

Denny Hamlin changed his lane for a bit this weekend, as he made his opinion known on the biggest story in all of sports at the moment.

Yup, it’s that freshly-minted relationship between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and global superstar Taylor Swift. The duo took social media by storm when Swift popped out to watch Kelce’s Chiefs defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday, and it’s been all the rage ever since.

While some believe it may finally be true love for Swift, Hamlin is skeptical of the relationship as a whole, questioning the suddenness of how it all came together.

“It does seem weird,” Hamlin said, via Actions Detrimental. “Like, the relationship all of a sudden is like, zero to one hundred. I thought this was just, ‘Hey, I hit her up in the DMs. She hit me back,’ then next thing you know, they hung out somewhere. Now all of a sudden, she’s hanging out with the mom. … It seems very showy. It does. … She’s had a rough go at it, but it seems like she loves love, so she gets really involved quickly. So maybe that scares the guys off. ‘Woah, this chick is like, all in right from the get-go.’ But I wonder the same thing about Jennifer Aniston.

“How come she wasn’t able to meet that one. Like, it’s heartbreaking to me. Seriously. These are sought-after actresses or singers, and they just can’t hold down a relationship.”

Aside from Hamlin potentially wanting to shoot his shot with Jennifer Aniston, he brings up some good points. The relationship between Kelce and Swift did seemingly go from a silly little rumor, to a full-fledged barrage.

Regardless, the confirmation of his fling with Swift is already doing wonders for Kelce, especially when it comes to sales of his Chiefs jersey.

Kelce’s No. 87 jersey has seen a 400% increase in sales, and the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end has gained more than 300,000 followers on social media. Kelce now owns a top-5 selling jersey in the NFL after the bump from Swifties across the country. 

The couple looked happy as ever leaving Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, driving with the top down in a convertible, a scene straight out of a movie.

Moving forward, we’ll see if Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are really meant for each other, or if Denny Hamlin’s skepticism is rewarded. Only time will tell.
