It has only been a day and already there is a bit of drama regarding Denny Hamlin and one of NASCAR‘s media partners. The 23XI Racing co-owner is taking exception to what he is calling media censorship.

After the lawsuit against NASCAR from 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports was announced, attorney Jeffrey Kessler went on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Kessler was there to discuss the lawsuit, how, why, and exactly what the teams are seeking.

For those who listened, it was a rather heated interview. Dave Moody and the SiriusXM crew seemed to take exception to the lawsuit at times and the reasoning that Kessler gave.

At one point, when asked why the other teams signed the agreement, Kessler compared it to “battered spouse syndrome.”

Regardless of which side you are on, contentious discussions can be healthy at a time like this. Getting both sides out in the open and letting listeners and the audience decide for themselves.

However, Denny Hamlin is fired up today. He claims that SiriusXM NASCAR Radio has “edited/deleted” the Kessler interview from their channels.

“While censorship is a big topic in today’s media world, Channel 90 might be the poster child,” Hamlin said on X/Twitter. “An interview didn’t go the way they hoped after our attorney continued to state fact after fact even tho [sic] they tried their best to refute, they have since edited/deleted that interview off of their channels because the narrative doesn’t fit their beliefs. If that doesn’t convince you of the bias then nothing will.”

This wasn’t the only media fight Denny Hamlin picked today, either. Hamlin is on a mission, that’s for sure.

Denny Hamlin fires back at Ryan McGee of ESPN

Today, Denny Hamlin is speaking out on social media and he has turned his attention and potential ire towards Ryan McGee. The ESPN reporter published a story today about the lawsuit that 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports filed against NASCAR.

Denny Hamlin was not happy to see Ryan McGee air criticism against the timing of the lawsuit. With the ongoing relief efforts from the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, McGee felt that 23XI and Front Row could have waited.

How long? “Wait a damn week,” the ESPN personality wrote.

To which Denny replied, “Good grief Ryan…”

The article, which was published today on ESPN.com, hit at the two NASCAR organizations for filing the lawsuit in the middle of such great relief efforts. Many of which include NASCAR teams and drivers. Greg Biffle has made headlines over the recent days for his efforts.

So, Denny Hamlin is fired up. When this lawsuit was filed, I knew it would get heated. However, this is a whole new level. Hamlin is fighting on all sides. 23XI didn’t file this lawsuit for nothing. They are looking for results. Who do you think will come out on top?
