Denny Hamlin trolls NASCAR fans with hilarious Spotify Wrapped spoof

While everyone was having fun sharing their Spotify Wrapped results, Denny Hamlin couldn’t help but troll NASCAR fans. As the Cup Series’ #1 villain, Hamlin knows how to poke the fanbase in the right place.
Instead of sharing his top artist and song, he took a different approach. It’s always great when drivers can lean into the roles that fans assign them. Denny Hamlin knows he’s not popular, but he wouldn’t want it any other way.
“I heard it all,” Hamlin captioned his post. Check it out for yourself.
Denny Hamlin is going to have an interesting 2025. He will have a new crew chief after Chris Gabehart took the job of competition director at Joe Gibbs Racing. A new beginning for Hamlin at age 44 could have mixed results.
Hamlin better be careful. He is poking the bear right now, and these NASCAR fans are waiting for him to fail in 2025 so they can get even louder. It’s going to be an interesting season watching the No. 11 team.
While Denny Hamlin had fun trolling fans, he wasn’t going to get away with this without repercussions. If you notice, he threw a Chase Elliott hat into one of those images. It turns out, the Most Popular Driver does pay attention to social media.

Chase Elliott trolls Denny Hamlin back
With Denny Hamlin taking a slight jab at Chase Elliott’s fans, the seven-time NASCAR Most Popular Driver had to follow up with his own post. Being the calm and cool guy that he is, Elliott kept it simple, but effective.
Elliott couldn’t let the Hamlin post go. But he wasn’t going to waste too much time. Just a four word message and a simple link to his merch…where you can buy the exact same hat that Hamlin had in his meme.
“Hats for sale btw.”
While Denny Hamlin is loud and brash at the track, on his podcast, and on social media, Chase Elliott is different. We already know this. But it is the subtle things he does, these simple jabs back at other drivers or critics. That’s why fans love Elliott so much.
Of course, it’s all in good fun. These two drivers have had their issues in the past but this doesn’t amount to much. Just some off-season fun and a harmless merch plug in response to a little trolling from Hamlin.
