Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders are done as a pair as the team will look for trade partners this offseason.

NFL.com’s Eric Edholm looked at a few possibilities for Carr this offseason, and there are a good amount of suitors. Despite interception struggles this season, Carr has nearly a decade of NFL experience with some good stat lines and a postseason trip to his name.

Carr was benched for the final two weeks following a tie for his career high in interceptions. He finished the season with 3,522 yards, 24 touchdowns, 14 interceptions and a 60.8% completion percentage.

That was just one season after the Raiders took on the Cincinnati Bengals in last year’s AFC playoffs.

In his career, Carr has 35,222 yards, 217 touchdowns, 99 interceptions and a 64.6% completion percentage.

Below are the potential trade partners for Carr and the Raiders, per NFL.com.

New York Jets

The Jets are likely in the market for a veteran quarterback after the Zach Wilson, Mike White and Joe Flacco disaster and collapse this fall. New York could very well be a win-now type of team in 2023 with the right man under center.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts need a quarterback, again. Matt Ryan was not the answer either. More importantly, the Colts need a new head coach and there will be questions if he wants a veteran that is still chasing a Super Bowl title with a bare roster in Indy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This makes sense if the Bucs want to capitalize on a playoff roster without Tom Brady. Brady might leave if he plays another year. Ironically, he could go to Las Vegas to replace Carr and reunite with Josh McDaniels.

New Orleans Saints

This one is more of a stretch. Dennis Allen was with the Raiders in 2014 when Carr was a rookie but only lasted four games before his firing. The familiarity is there, we think, but the Saints still could opt for Jameis Winston, who seemingly never had a shot to get his job back after injury in 2022.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers seemingly have no quarterback so maybe a veteran is the answer in a weak division. Would Carr be enough with a couple of weapons to win the NFC South? Maybe. Sam Darnold probably isn’t the answer and the Panthers have some capital after trading Christian McCaffrey.

Washington Commanders

Well the Carson Wentz experiment didn’t quite work. Neither did Taylor Heinicke as Washington missed the playoffs again. But that’s one good defense and Terry McLaurin is a top notch receiver. Perhaps this would be a good move.
