De'Vondre Campbell calls out fans, TV analysts in NSFW rant over quitting allegations

De’Vondre Campbell called out fans and multiple NFL analysts over the quitting allegations back in December, when he left the game in Week 15.
He went on a NSFW rant on social media on Friday regarding him stepping away in the middle of a game. Campbell was eventually suspended for three games following allegedly refusing to play.
“I ain’t addressing shit,” Campbell wrote. “I’m rich and never have to work another day of my life and I told Kyle Shannahan and John Lynch that when they FaceTime me and begged me to come out there an hour after Green Bay cut me. I really be sparing (expletive). I play because I WANT TO.”
That wasn’t even the brunt of Campbell’s rant on Twitter. He even had a three-part in response.
“Listen, I’m sick of all you bitch ass (expletive) jumping under my tweets,” Campbell wrote. “It’s been 2 months and I have yet to address the situation cause I know the truth and don’t care to clear anything up. I’m by myself ALL the time if you or any of them bitch ass (expletive) from the 49ers feel some type of way go wit ya move when you see me cause all them (expletive) that had so much to say about me gone have to stand on them words next time I see them I been standing on business my whole life and it’s gone be like that until the day I’m 6ft under (expletive) ass (expletive) don’t know me.
“That goes for all them old ass retired (expletive) that jumped on TV speaking on my name when they could’ve reached out to me and heard it from the horses mouth but they just took what the 49ers said and ran with it. Y’all (expletives) too fuck all of y’all.”

Head coach Kyle Shanahan also commented on the situation at the time, saying it was unacceptable.
“His actions from the game is just not something you can do to your team,” Shanahan said.
Campbell, the 2021 All-Pro, recorded 79 tackles (44 solo) for the 49ers this season, but lost his starting job as Greenlaw made his season debut against the Rams. Greenlaw departed because of knee soreness and San Francisco was forced to insert Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, the team’s only healthy linebacker left on the roster, into the game after Campbell said no.
“I’m a leader on the team, and if that is something that is being a distraction on the sideline, I would’ve loved to voice my own opinion in the moment,” tight end George Kittle said.
“And we’re past that moment. So, it doesn’t matter what I wish I could have said or wish I could have done. But I don’t like distractions on the sideline. I think that’s ignorant. And I think it’s just dumb. It’s just stupid, and it’s very immature. I just don’t see how you could do something like that to your team.”
