DeVonta Smith injury update: Eagles WR shares latest on status ahead of matchup with Cowboys
DeVonta Smith said himself that he’ll be available this weekend for Philadelphia.
While speaking with the media on Friday, Smith said he’ll be okay for the Eagles’ divisional matchup in Dallas on Sunday.
“Yeah, I’ll be fine,” said Smith.
Smith has had a questionable designation this week in dealing with a hamstring injury. He was a non-participant for Philly during their walkthrough on Wednesday and then was limited at practice on Thursday.
Smith is the Eagles’ leading overall receiver this season in appearing in seven of the eight games for the team. He missed the one game with a concussion that he took against the New Orleans Saints which caused him to miss their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the bye. In those outings, he has totaled 35 receptions on 47 targets for 473 yards and four touchdowns.
A.J. Brown would usually be right there with him statistically too, and is to some extent, but he has also missed three games with his own injuries while also dealing with one coming into this week despite now being a full participant for the Eagles.
Philadelphia will have their chance to win their fifth consecutive following the bye and move to 7-2 overall with a road win against their rival in the NFC East. That’ll be even more likely if both of their top receivers can play which, as of today, is looking to be the case for each.

Micah Parsons injury update: Mike McCarthy makes significant change in Cowboys star’s status
Micah Parsons appears to be trending in the right direction in being able to play on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mike McCarthy provided a positive update on Parsons when speaking with reporters on Friday.
“I’m hoping and anticipating with a full practice tomorrow that he’ll be ready to go Sunday,” Mike McCarthy said, according to Jon Machota.
That is obviously big news for Dallas as Micah Parsons has been out since he suffered an ankle injury in Week 4 when the Cowboys defeated the New York Giants. He has missed the last four games with the first big injury in his career as a pro.
Prior to it, Parsons had registered 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack through four games.
The Cowboys have struggled with Parsons unavailable as they are 1-3 in their past four games.
