Dez Bryant criticizes Cowboys offense following upset loss to Cardinals
Dez Bryant was not too pleased with what he saw from the Cowboys offense during Sunday’s 28-16 loss to the Cardinals. The former NFL receiver took to social media to express his disappointment in the team’s efforts, particularly in the red zone.
Dallas entered the red zone five times during Sunday’s game, scoring just once. Bryant put the team on blast with a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“Cowboys redzone offense, Im disappointed,” he wrote. “Too much talent not to score at will!”
To Bryant’s point, the Cowboys did move the football. They finished the game with 416 yards of total offense and enjoyed a balanced attack, with 231 coming through the air and 185 on the ground. But 13 penalties and a turnover proved to be costly.
It was especially disappointing considering how the two teams started the season. Dallas blew out the New York Giants (40-0) and New York Jets (30-10) in the first two games to start 2-0. Arizona suffered losses to the Washington Commanders and Giants to open at 0-2.
Dallas was dealing with some injuries this week, which likely played a role in some of the sloppy play. Offensive linemen Tyler Biadasz and Zack Martin were both out with injuries. The Cowboys activated offensive lineman Tyron Smith but he did not play, either.
Those absences might’ve played a role in the Cowboys’ offensive struggles Sunday. But it doesn’t really seem like Bryant cared about any excuses.

Dez Bryant sounds off on Jason Garrett in Week 1
Bryant doesn’t hold back in sharing his opinions. That’s been pretty clear for a while now, but the former Cowboys receiver went all in regarding his former head coach, Jason Garrett.
During Dallas’ Week 1 blowout win over the Giants, Bryant blasted Garrett on X while praising current head coach Mike McCarthy. Eventually, the ex-receiver deleted the post.
“Take notes Jason Garrett,” Bryant wrote. “Coach McCarthy treat his players like Grown Men. I would have hated if you had the opportunity to coach a player like Micah Parsons or Trevon Diggs. This football. F*** a good guy. Where the dogs at? McCarthy got em.”
See? No holding back from Bryant. Even if it involves someone he used to play for in the NFL.
Since the Cowboys made numerous changes during the offseason, there are a lot of eyes on the franchise to get back to the Super Bowl. We’ll probably hear a lot more from Bryant as the season progresses — whether it’s good, bad or indifferent.
