DIRECTV subscribers can rejoice, a fantastic way to take in all the NFL action each week is coming your way in the near future. On Tuesday, the NFL announced that it has reached an agreement with DIRECTV that will allow DIRECTV to carry the NFL Network and NFL RedZone across all platforms.
It marks the first time that DIRECTV will have NFL RedZone across all platforms.
NFL RedZone is a highly popular channel offering that features swing-around coverage of NFL games and focuses on games in which a team has entered the red zone.
“DIRECTV was an initial launch partner of NFL Network over 20 years ago and we’re thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership which caters to millions of DIRECTV customers who are NFL fans,” said Hans Schroeder, Executive Vice President of Media Distribution for the NFL. “This renewal will provide fans across all DIRECTV platforms the ability to watch NFL Network’s award-winning coverage of America’s most popular sport while also giving greater access to the wildly popular NFL RedZone.”
DIRECTV has built in a few different product offerings to support the new agreement with the NFL.
NFL Network will be available to Choice subscribers on DIRECTV (via satellite and via streaming with authentication), as well as DIRECTV STREAM. It will also be available to U200 subscribers on U-Verse.
DIRECTV customers will also have an enhanced DIRECTV Sports Pack available, while DIRECTV STREAM subscribers will be offered a DIRECTV Sports Pack. Both offerings will feature NFL Red Zone, which will be offered to U-Verse customers through the HD Premium Tier.
